Summary: | Wader is one of the ecotourism objects in coastal of Trisik. Currently Trisik
Beach used as tourist area. For some people who are interest in birds conservation,
Trisik is interesting to visit because every year it is visited by thousands of
waders, especially migrant waders. It contain muddy that possible to provide a food
source for shore birds that stop at this beach and this is one reason to be a place Trisik
Coast favorite for thousands of furry creatures. But due to lack of promotion and only
the surrounding community, researchers and bird watchers who know it potency
so only few visitors there are aware of the existence of birds in coastal of Trisik
This study aims to determine the waders attraction, including uniqueness,
scarcity, seasonality and diversity for ecotourism in Coastal Trisik, knowing the
perceptions of tourists and local people in connection with ecotourism activities
and create strategies for developing waders ecotourism in the coastal of Trisik.
Based on scoring results of the attractions which include uniqueness,
scarcity and seasonality, wader that fall into categories of medium level attraction
is cerek jawa (Charadrius javanicus) with a score of 19, whereas the other waders
fall into the category of low level attraction. While based Attraction Criteria Based
on Waders Diversity, overall 30.7% in the category of medium level attraction and
69.3% in the category of low level attraction. Level of tourist perceptions to the
waders ecotourism activities is 74.59 % which means tourists agree on waders
ecotourism activities and the public perception level is 81, 85% which means that
the public strongly agreed with wader ecotourism activities. The strategy used for
wader ecotourism development is a WO are : improve information and promotion,
strengthen the enforcement, improve coordination with stakeholders and take
advantage of the attractions and tourist attraction near the Trisik beach.
