Description
Summary:Nasal obstruction is a subjective complaint in patient with nasal disease. Causation of nasal obstruction symptom is very complex and variety, that can decreased patients quality of life and activities. Examination of nasal obstruction based on anamnesis, physical and supported examinations. Nasal patency examinations, such as nasal obstruction score and rhinohigrometry, have been used to support the diagnosis of nasal obstruction, but in computer technology, we still demand for the new alternative instrument. Based on that reason, theres Gama Sakti 1 Rhinometry, which can measuring nasal patency with sum of value both nasal expiration pressures. Unfortunately, the study which determine nasal obstruction symptom using Gama Sakti 1 Rhinometry has been conducted in Indonesia. The objective of the study is to determine nasal obstruction symptom using Gama Sakti 1 Rhinometry compared with nasal obstruction score. A cross-sectional study was carried out on patient with nasal obstruction symtoms and had met the inclusion also exclusion criteria. The sum of the value both nasal obstructions score, which from the nasal obstruction symtoms. Correlation analysis was performed used to measure between Gama Sakti 1 Rhinometry and nasal obstruction score. The non-parametric statistic analysis with Spearman method, there was p=0,00 (p<0,001) with correlation coefisien -0,662 (with negative correlation, and r = 0,662), its means there was a correlation between nasal obstruction score and sum of expiration transnasal pressure in patient. In our study, there was a negative correlation between Gama Sakti 1 Rhinometry with nasal obstruction score in patient with nasal patency disfunction.
