| Summary: | The goal of this research about Law Protection toward Land in the Border
of North Central Timor Regency with Oecusse District Related to the Sovereignty
of Indonesia Republic is to find out how far the law protection toward land in the
border between north central Timor and Oecusse District. Besides, it is also aimed
to make clear the border of the nation, according to the responsibility contained in
Regulation Number 43 year 2008 about national territory. This was legal research.
This research used juridical-empirical law research. The data obtained was using
library research and field research. The data was collected by direct research to
the field to find out the information relevant to the research object by using
interview with the method of question and answer. The primary and secondary
data will be analyzed qualitatively by categorizing the data according to the
interest of each problem formulation.
The government of north central Timor regency and the government of
Indonesia have to support to make clear the border of the nation, so that the
problem of claiming the district can be managed and there is law protection
toward the land in the border by confirming the sovereignty of Indonesia, in light
of there are many conflicting borders. The confirmation of the border of this
nation is aimed to narrow the conflict about border, and the claiming of border can
be emphasized into an arrangement reflecting the supremacy of law in the front
line of the nation, so that the law protection toward the land in the border can get
law certainty.
