Description
Summary:The development of many new towns has resulted in fonning big cities. When it was constructed, there was no clear view how to connect the new town with the surrounding rud areas. One of the biggest defects is that there was no well balanced and harmony planning method for making urban-rural linkage. This paper tries to understand that the fundamental of promoting rural development equality are not only to form individual rural settlement but it is very important to construct a symbiotic generator of urban-rural linkage where rural community mutually connects. Thus, it proposes a rural vision of agropolitan which makes the most effective of symbiotic linkage generator. Ln the agropolitan sphere, the objective is to syrnbiose resources development with environment conservation, to develop industries in balance with agriculture, to achieve stable income for inhabitants and to secure their living. Furthermore, by expanding the linkage into archipelagic network context between the rural areas and the secondary cities, the agropolitan can maintain balanced land use of terrestrial (land) habitation and aquatic habitation, distribute population properly, use regional resources in a cycle, keep balance between industry and living and conserve and form environment rich in nature and culture, in which rural development equality is promoted and whole national environment conservation is squire. This agropolitan construction includes kinds of plan unit in four categories i.e. relating to agricultural activities, relating to living and business activities (settlement), relating to foreshy and recreation activities (green space) and relating to public services such as traffics and water utilization. To consolidate the contents of entire system it is important to link the common in each category born macro aspects (archipelagic network) to the micro aspects (urban-rural linkage) and vice versa Keywords: urban-rural linkage, symbiotic generator, agropolitan, archipelagic network context, terrestrial habitation-aquatic habitation.
