| Summary: | <p>A xanthone, nigrolineaxanthone H (1) was isolated from the stem bark of Garcinia nigrolineata.Its antioxidative activity DPPH free radical scavenging activity was studied. The structure of these compounds was elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data using IR, 1D and 2D NMR and by direct comparison with those of reported data. Compound 1 showed antioxidative activity with inhibition 81% to fit with ascorbic acid standard.</p> |
