Summary: |
The research on site quality and bonita classification was conducted to know the interactions
between site quality and plant growth of Gmelina arborea Roxb. in Typic Hapludults soil type. Based
on the inventory data of G. arborea until 5 years old, the growth rate w~ divided to 3 categories i.e. good,
medium and bad growth performance. At each growth performance, soil samples were taken for soil
analysis. The plant growth was affected by site quality. The good growth performance had better site
qualities, soil chemical (C, N, P, K, Ca, Mg etc) and physical characteristics (field slope, BY etc). Soil
nutrient availability and field slope are important for plant growth performance and total production of
G. arborea plantation forest
