Resumo:
One of the key health-related technologies in 21the century is tissue engineering. It is said that three factors, cell, growth factor and scaffold are the keys for the success of tissue engineering. Unfortunately, the scaffold is criticized as the rate determining step for the progress of tissue engineering. The scaffold should have fully interconnected three-dimensional structure. Porosity should be high value. Pore size should fit cells' mobility. Cell compatibility should be excellent. Hopefully, it should enhance the cells' differentiation process. Restorability is also desired for the ideal tissue regeneration. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to fabricate scaffold that fulfill the requirements stated above.
