Description
Summary:
Background. Oral candidiasis is not lethal disease. But till now, incidenci of this case still hight and increase. So that, it become a problem. One of the predisposing factor is immunosupression. C.albicans also has immunosupressive character. TNFa is produced by macrophage and T lymphocyte. Both of them is componen of immune system. Effect of immunosupression and C.albicans infection to TNFa level was not known. This research is conducted to find out the effect of immunosupression and C.albicans infection to TNFa level. Method. BALB/c mice were used in this research. Mice were devided in to three groups (Gl, G2, and G3). Gl was control. G2 was immunosupressed by given 2- 3mglmice subcutan injection of prednicolon one day before infection and three days after infection. G3 was immunosupressed like G2 and infected with C.albicans at zero day. G2 and G3 were given tetracycline hydrochloride in drinking water (0,83g1ml)since one day before were infected. At 2rdand 4stdays post infection, mice were sacrificed and TNFa level was measured by ELISA. One way Anova test and LSD (P=0,05)were used to data analysis. Result. Data from this research indicated that G3 has the lowest TNFa level.Conclution. Based on the result of this research could be made a conclution that immunosupression and oral infection with C.albicans were decrease TNFa level.
