Summary: | The objective of this study is to analyze the structure of economy among
regencies/municipality in North Molucas Province, the economic growth, and the
contribution of local income on Local Budget during 2000-2010 in North Molucas
Province. The instrument of analysis used was the Klassen Typology, Economic
Growth, and Income Contribution.
Result of the analysis indicates that based on the Klassen Typology among
the regencies/municipality in North Molucas Province during 2000-2010, regions
in the province could be divided into four types: (1) Quickly Advanced and
Growing Regency/Municipality, (2) Quickly Developing Regency/Municipality,
(3) Pressed Advanced Regency/Municipality, and (4) Underdeveloped Regency/
Municipality. Based on economic growth, economy in North Molucas Province
grows fluctuatively and very late. Finally, based on local income contribution, it
can be concluded that the contribution of local income was very low, so that the
dependency to the transfer of central government was still dominant.
