description | This action research study is aimed to look at the influence of teamwork
competency training to the effectiveness of project team at RA organization. The
effectiveness of project team is selected as the dependent variable of this study, because team effectiveness is the measurement of project team�s contribution to the effectiveness of the organization that established it. Teamwork competency training is selected as the treatment on this study, because the mastery of individual competencies in the concept of teamwork competencies is believed to have an impact on the team effectiveness. Team members who master the teamwork competency will contribute on the formation of team�s synergy. Team�s synergy moves the teamwork, and finally directs the team to its effectiveness.
This research is using the quasi-experiment design with a one group pretestposttest
design. Measuring instruments of this study are The Team Effectiveness Scale
and The Teamwork Competencies Mastery Scale. Team Effectiveness Scale is used to
measure the effectiveness of the project team that belongs to the trainees, where the
measurement results became the basis of this research�s hypothesis testing. Teamwork
Competencies Mastery Scale is used to measure the trainee�s mastery on teamwork
competency, where the measurement results became the basis of the manipulation check on the treatment that is given to the participants.
The research results show that there is (1) differentiation in the mean point of
experimental group�s pretest and posttest at 7.06, (2) an increase on team effectiveness
category, (3) a change in the result of team effectiveness measurement on almost each
trainee, (4) a fact that the 95% confidence level and the α = 5% significance level |
