| Summary: | Transportation system of Trans Bus is a program of Ministry of Transportation with the
purpose to give intercity transportation service for public. In order to improve the development and the economy of the city, an inexpensive, practical and comfortable means of transportation is needed.
In almost all big cities of Indonesia, Trans Bus has been a choice of transportation mode.
Among the cities are Yogyakarta and Pekanbaru. The research is aimed at comparing the Trans Bus of Yogyakarta city and the one of Pekanbaru city. On the purpose of the research, a questionnaire was distributed to 400 respondents on Trans Bus of Jogja and Trans Metro of Pekanbaru. The questionnaire distributed contains identity of the respondent and a list of questions related to the purpose of the research. The answer obtained from the passenger through the questionnaire was evaluated utilizing SPSS software and methods of simple regression and Importance Performance Analysis.
The result of the analysis indicates that people in the cities of Yogyakarta and Pekanbaru are pleased with the presence of the Trans Bus. It is proved by the increasing number of the people, either people in general or students, utilizing the Trans Bus month by month. The result of the analysis is expected to provide the Trans Bus management with inputs on how to provide optimum service to the passenger.
