Summary:Background: The graduates of the midwifery education who are placed in the health facilities and villages have not given an effective contribution to speeding up of the reduction of the maternal and infant mortality. D III midwifery education with competency-based curriculum seeks to change the conventional learning system toward problem-based learning (problembased learning). One feature of problem-based learning (PBL) self-directed learning which is integrated in a discussion group and applied in the laboratory and clinical practice on the real objects creates an independent attitude of the midwives that is able to provide services in the woman life cycle based on the evidence. Objectives: To determine the relationship between the learning activities applied by the lecturers/tutors in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical practice and the completeness of learning tools and materials to the students� satisfaction in midwifery care of diagnosis of normal/high risk pregnancy in Midwifery Study Program in Padangsidimpuan. Research methods: This study uses the method Quantitative and qualitative methods with the cross-sectional study approach. The populations of the level II regular students of Midwifery Study Program in Padangsidimpuan account for 50 persons added with three facilitators entirely became the subjects of the study (purposive sampling). The data analysis used the Chi-square, logistic regression with qualitative modeling and analysis. Research results: The relationship between the learning activities applied by the lecturers/tutors and the students� satisfaction in learning midwifery care diagnosis of pregnancy are significant with the value of p=0.0001
