Summary: | This research aimed to determine the level of participation of alumni of
farmer field school of integrated pest management (FFS-IPM) in using Beauveria
bassiana and the factors that effected the level of participation. Total of 100
alumni were sampled and they were distributed in 10 counties in the District of
Bantul (Sedayu, Pleret, Sewon, Bantul, Bambanglipuro, Pandak, Imogiri,
Pundong, Jetis and Piyungan). In each country, ten farmers were selected and they
were from one village. The selected samples were that had training in the use of
B. bassiana. Data were analized using multiple linier regression and descriptive
analysis. Based on the regression analysis at α = 5%, motivation, perception, and
source of capital had a significant impact on the participation level of alumni of
FFS-IPM in using B. bassiana. The independent variable (motivation, perception,
experience, land ownership, and capital sources) collectively had a significant
impact on the dependent variable (participation level). Eighty four point one
percent of the dependent variable variation was due to the independent variable.
However, the level of participation of the alumni in using B. bassiana was
considurably low.
