| Summary: | Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) has an important place in the aspect of social
economy life in Indonesian society. The most crucial problem related with
Indonesian rubber is the low of rubber quality that is produced. In order to the
production and the quality of can be enhanced and be retalned, than further steps that
can be taken to bring it into reality are to repair the technique of cultivation and it�s
processing. One of cultivation technique that can be done is processing action and
weed controlling actions. The identification of dominant weeds was the first step to
the success of weeds community in rubber planting area yet. Therefor, a research on
weeds composition in rubber planting area was important as the base of an accurate
weeds control in rubber planting plant precisely in PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IX
Banyumas.
This research was conducted in PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IX Banyumas at
the typical of Latosol and Regosol soil. It from on May-June 2010.
The result of the research proved that based on SDR point obtained from
young plant and production plant at the typical of Latosol and Regosol soil, the
perennial weeds had a bigger SDR point than annual weeds. Consequently, the
weeds control could be done mechanically by slashing it in 2-3 weeks and also
chemically by using the systemic herbicide. |
