| Summary: | Notary in holding their occupational roles for public interest must be laied
in a neutral and independent institution, that is Notary Examination Council in
which consisted of Regional Examination Council, State Examination Council
and Central Examination Council. While the objective of supervision on notaries
is for the notaries can trully eligible on the requirements and hilding their
occupational roles according the stipulation mentioned in prevailing laws and
notary code of ethic for public interest assurance.
Based on the aforementioned, then the problems being studied is: The
roles of Regional Examination Council of Surakarta City in supervising and
assisting the notaries in crime cases resolution.
Method of study used is juridic empirical approach with the used
specification in this study is descriptive analitic. Based on the results of the study,
then there can be concluded that the Regional Examination Council of Surakarta
City has been holding their roles in accordance with the prevailing laws. One of
the preventive efforts is holding annual regular examination to examine the
notaries compliances. While the repressive effort is, at first, by holding
examination on the notaries in crime case resolution, so that the notaries can not
be directly examined by the investigator.
