November 2010. This study aims to find explanations of economic phenomena
hidden behind the group that carried out by refugees from the hamlets Gungan,
Wukir Sari Village, Cangkringan District, Sleman.
This study used an inductive qualitative methods for the context of natural
paradigm based on phenomenology. This research includes exploration of the
economic character of hamlet groups in the Gungan, then followed by exploration
of the history of the community in the hamlet Gungan for analyzing explanations
of economic phenomena hidden behind the group. Research was carried out by
conducting in-depth interviews to the perpetrators of the economic activities of the
group and field observations in the research area.
The research showed that cooperative economy lays in their independence
to meet the needs of its members based on a strong sense of unity. The capital
gained from grants, distribution of product still localized, the target consumer is
outside the member and the distribution of income is fair. The impact of enterprise
development is expected to provide a multiplier effect to other people as a bolster
of the economy at the grassroots level. To encourage the economic success of the
group it must be supported by the spirit of high unity sense within the group and
the value of a good community base. It is important that the strength of economic
activity in the implementation of refugee groups Gungan is a high spirit to rise
from adversity and high spiritual understanding post-disaster. |
