One of urgent agenda to immediately realizes is reconciliation. This reconciliation process aim to maintain the peace which have been reaced for. This means not only act as the solving of conflict but also as conflict transformation.
At context of Aceh conflict, the reconciliation process become the agenda which is immediately executed after the second side of conflict agree to terminate the conflict. The attendance of reconciliation process expected not only for supporting peace in Aceh, but also can be the media of trauma healing at society especially all conflict victims.
The piquancy of reconciliation process of conflict Aceh that is the existence role Aceh artistry. In this context, Aceh artistry is personating one of the supporter media of Aceh reconciliation process. The huge support of artist community make the Aceh reconciliation process become to draw compared by similar conflicts.
Furthermore, the role of Aceh artistry show how art can become the important instrument for process and peace conservancy. At this reconciliation process, Aceh artistry have three especial role namely, first, as a unifer and intergroup cure relationship. Second, as a peace messanger. And last, as a trauma healing media for whole Aceh society and especially for all conflict victims.
The first role as a unifer and intergroup cure relationship shown especially through Saman and Seudati dance, and also Didong. Rapai and contemporary music of Aceh also take part as a peace messenger. But, undeniable, basically all Aceh artistry sharing role as a peace messenger particularly in this reconciliation process.
Peace attainment and reconciliation process have bringing a lot of change for Aceh�s condition. The run of reconciliation process entangled a lot of party such as artist community and society as a whole. The reconciliation process indirectly also have assisted the renaissance of Aceh artistry after have time to lour during conflict happened. So that can be said that Aceh artistry supported the reconciliation process, and reconciliation even also supported the evocation of Aceh artistry. There is a mutual profitting relationship pattern ini course of this process.
This thesis is structured as one of the requirements to earn a master's degree from the Graduate Program in International Relations at the University of Gadjah Mada. The thesis is expected to provide knowledge that can be used other research studies, related to the traditional art as one of the important media of reconciliation process. |
