Summary: | This study focuses on the representation and political role in the system Bundo Kanduang
Nagari government. Post back to the village administration, through Regional Regulation No. 9 of
2000 on the Principles of village governance system, in accordance with the policy, which
instructed about Bundo Kanduang representation as part of the political system in the district,
Praise be to Allaah to give opportunities to the role Bundo Kanduang to sit in formal government
institutions that exist in the villages of BAMUS and BMAS.Tujuan of this research, is to know
how the dynamics of the representation of Bundo Kanduang in modern, especially in their
involvement in the political process in the district. Associated with the goal of such research, the
questions in this study is "How, Representation and the role of institutions in the Government
System Bundo Kanduang Rimbang In Nagari River Conditions Now"?
Theories and concepts used in answering questions of this study, using the theory of
political representation, women's political role, while for the answer of this study, researchers
using qualitative analytical research methods, with data collecting technique through interview,
observation (Observe) and documentation (documentation) , then analyze the data with the data
reduction process, presents the data and draw conclusions from these data.
The results obtained from the research, saying that the political representation and the
role of the Governing Nagari Bundo Kanduang Rimbang River diera now, especially within the
framework of a formal representation viewed from the position Bundo Kanduang in BAMUS and
in the BMAS, appropriately have not touched on the realm of representation substantially, as
expected according PERDA NO 9, 2000. Formal Representation Bundo Kanduang today,
experienced a shift in the role due to several obstacles and constraints, among others, are not
functioning as a base Kanduang Institution Bundo empowerment and awareness raising for
Bundo Kanduang in Nagari, Nagari sruktur politics in the more male-dominated, culture shock
and financial support from the government resulting in Representation and the Role of Bundo
Kanduang only within the formal descriptive level.
