description Competition in industry requires company to develop its strategy. Challenging competition environment makes company to implement all strategy to win the competition. One of the strategy trend today is outsourcing strategy. This strategy permit a company to increase shareholders value, focus in core business and reduce cost. But besides generates advantages for the company, outsourcing may also generates disadvantages if it is not planned and treated kindly. The research in this thesis has an objective to know the factors that considered by the company to implement outsourcing strategy, The factors that considered by the company to choose outsourcing partners or suppliers, how the company control and minimize outsourcing risks and make a good relationship with outsourcing partners. The object of the research is outsourcing strategy of PT X that one of the famous farmatical company�s SBU in Indonesia and the research is using qualitative analysis method. The examined attributes are the factors that considered by the company to implement outsourcing strategy, the factors that considered by the company to choose outsourcing partners, outsourcing agreement draft, advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing strategy, outsourcing risks and relationship in outsourcing. The result of this research shows that the factors that considered by PT X to implement outsourcing strategy are focus in core competency, saving cost, risk sharing, limited capacity, more effective market penetrate and access and knowhow sharing. In other side, the factors that considered by the company in choosing outsourcing partner are outsourcing partner avaibility, facility of outsourcing partner, capacity, competencies and location of the outsourcing partner. The factors that considered by PT X in make draft of contract are detail of the agreement, detail of product quality, detail of sample checking and distribution of product. PT X�s way to minimize outsourcing risks are put staff in every outsourcing partner, held monthly meeting with outsourcing partners, and evaluate outsourcing partners performance frequently.
