Summary: | The objectives of this research are to analyze the external and internal
environment of PT. XYZ regarding to the company plan in to start the new operation
into Republic Of India groundnut industry. The analysis will be used to determine
strategic opportunities and threats from external environment. This research will also
observe the company�s strategy in order to examine how those strategies could
become competitive advantage for the company.
The research was done through direct observations and interviews with the
management of PT. XYZ, and by collecting secondary data from internal and external
sources. The data were being analyzed using qualitative techniques, by comparing the
findings with the theoretical frameworks.
Analysis on the external environment includes explorations on the groundnuts
industry in India, intensity of competition and prospect of the industry. From these
analyses, the key success factors in groundnuts industry in India will be determined
the internal environment analysis consist of strategy being prepared which is by
comparing the findings of external and internal analyses with the theoretical
frameworks on the business strategy, the business strategy for PT. XYA will be
identified.
