Summary: | This research was carried out in the project executed at PT.UNINDO in
2010. Data used was resulted from Project monitoring template which implemented
in one of executed projects in 2010. The goal of this research was to compare the
situation between before and after the implementation of project monitoring
template. Implementation of Project monitoring template was also combined with
existing tools which already used.
Project monitoring template is a tool which integrates all new information
from SCM (supply chain management) department, production, engineering, PPIC
(production planning inventory control), sourcing, and DCC (document control
center). Outcomes from this implementation were material cost savings, project
planning and actual finishing time of project, information of material procurement,
actual man hours needed to finish the project and distribution of documents.
Implementation of project monitoring template resulted in increasing of time
efficiency in work, information detail of material procurement, ease in controlling
production process, ease in controlling the usage of correct material in production
process to meet customer expectations, accuracy in cost analysis and effective
communication through related parties during project execution. Project
