| description | This study aims to examine the significance of order source, paper and machine
types on product�s color quality in PT. Gramedia Cikarang Plant (GCP). The
election of those three dependent variables are basing on proven concept that in
manufacture industry, quality will be affected by any involved components in
production process. Threfore raw material as part of production process�
component becomes the main focus in this study.
Data collected from 30 high quality magazines listed by GCP using both targeted
and stratified sampling. Spectrodensitometer is used to measure product�s color
quality by comparing the color of DCP (order form customer) and ACC (final
product) at certain point location. The measurement will result Delta E. Smaller
Delta E indicates better quality of product.
Using ANOVA, the result of this study is divided into three categories which are
order source, paper types and machine types. The first one is there is a difference
in product�s color quality based on order source. Regarding to paper, some
patterns show that there is a difference in product color quality based on types of
paper. But the others don�t. Based on machine types, the result is quite similar to
paper types, which some patterns shows and do not shows that there is a
difference in product color quality based on types of machine. |
