research is help investor when investors faced the result that opposite to each
analysis. The object chosen for this research is Seven Brothers or Bakrie Group.
Bakrie Group consist of seven companies, there are BNBR, BUMI, UNSP, ELTY,
ENRG, BTEL, and DEWA. Members of Bakrie Group are famous for variety
cases and negative issues. One famous issue is called �saham goreng�. One
objective of this research is to prove that issue.
The selected period for this research is 2005-2009 except for BTEL and
DEWA because these two companies still relatively new in stock market. The
fundamental analysis is only done on the analysis of company. For technical
analysis, researcher only uses a few indicators like moving average, MACD, RSI,
ROC, and stochastic. After doing research, the result show some irregularities,
especially at companies that the fundamental is decreasing, such as ENRG,
BNBR, BTEL, DEWA, and BUMI in 2008 and 2009. Generally, decline in
fundamental follow by decline in technical. But those company show the opposite
result. The graphs show company�s stock increased sharply. These condition may
cause the �penggorengan saham�.
If investors are faced with a different anlysis result, investors should
choose the result of fundamental analysis. Bakrie Group has high volatility in
stock movement. That high volatility cannot guarantee the result of technical
analysis can be used as guidelines because the circumtances can change
dramatically. In addition to fundamental and technical analysis, investor can be
guided by various news about Bakrie Group. Various negative news about the
instabillity of the Bakrie Group showed that investor should not buy shares of
Bakrie Group. |
