| Summary: | This research was intended to identify implementation of Islamic inheritance law
in Kauman, to study Kauman people understanding on Islamic inheritance law and its
attitude in resolving problems of heritage distribution on Kauman area.
It was juridical empirical research that focused on field study to get primary data
related to implementation of Islamic inheritance law in Kauman. Meanwhile, secondary
data was obtained from literary review with exploring primary, secondary an tertiary
material. Then it was evaluated with quantitative analysisi, processed with tabulation to
get qualitative result.
Conclusions based on the result and as answer for the problems are
implementation of Islamic inheritance law in Kauman based on bilateral lineate structure
with bilateral-individual inheritance system. In heritage distribution, Islamic in heritance
law is not conducted entirely, but it refers to stipulations in Islamic inheritance
distribution law. It is indicated with attitude of heirs that ignore heritage distribution to
respect ancestor and delay in heritage distribution to keep family unity and harmony and
to respect living parent. Heritage distribution in Kauman consisted of faraid and non
faraid. Second, understanding of Kauman people on Islamic inheritance law is good that
means many respondents answered right, while in heir section, their understanding should
be got more attention. Third, in dealing with heritage distribution peoblem, they did
negotiation that refer to Islamic inheritance law stipulations and still keep family unity and
harmony.
