Summary:Implementation of Regional Autonomy in Indonesia has implications for improving local governance in all lines including the organizational structure of the region. In practice there are still many problems, especially within the scope of South Bengkulu Regency Secretariat. The purpose of this Research was to evaluation the effectiveness of the Regional Secretariat of the Organization Structure of South Bengkulu. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis, a careful measurement of a particular social phenomenon, concept of development, and collect data.The data was collected through interview techniques, observation and documentation.While the location of the Research is South Bengkulu Regency Secretariat. The results showed that the organizational structure of the Regional Secretariat of South Bengkulu district of the current low level of effectiveness was measured from (1) The division of labor according to specialization and standardization of work skills (2) depertementation / grouping jobs by function, process, service, region or area ( 3) Delegation of authority by the authority in decision making, and (4) The range of control by the ratio of number of employees. While the factors that influence the effectiveness of low levels of the organizational structure of South Bengkulu district secretariat is the complexity factor deferenisiasi measured from the horizontal and vertical differentiation are less effective category, factors measured formalization of the relations of power and communications process including less effective, and organizational size factor as measured by the number of employees and the magnitude of increase in operating expenses also included a category is less effective. From the analysis it is advisable to Regional Secretariat of South Bengkulu dsitrict to make improvements to the Treasury according to group coordination suitable asisten ie under general administrative, personnel deployment according to the standardization of skills, adjusting the workload on each section and details of duties to the staff. Thus the expected creation of an organizational structure effective Regional Sekretariat of South Bengkulu district.
