description | Background: Access to healthcare and the implementation of the referral
remains a problem for some communities in North Lombok District. This is due to
geographical conditions are very varied North Lombok is a hilly area and has a
mountainous and coastal areas. The distance of the Capital North Lombok
District of the Provincial Capital of Mataram about 40 miles to the condition of the
winding with incline sufficiently high among conservation forest. This condition
causes an uneven population distribution so that access to public services
primarily to health care facilities is quite difficult to reach. One alternative to
overcome the limitations of referral transport facilities and lack of health worker in
difficult areas is cooperating with local communities is by ojek. This cooperation
expected to help communities and health workers in implementing referral so that
the quality of public health so better.
Objectives: To get an idea of the implementation of the referral by using the
services of a ojek service.
Method: This study uses a case study design with qualitative methods and
analyzed by descriptive. The subject of this study is Pustu Nipah officers,
Polindes Setangi officers and Polindes Malaka, ojek and the user community ojek
in reference. Data collection with in depth interviews and observations.
Results and Discussion: Health workersand community use ojek in referral
system because of thepresence ofojekcan be acceptedby societyand
health workers due tobenefits providedby theojek, ojekowned by
theexcellenceand the existence ofa social networkthat existsbetween
theojekwith the community .
Conclusion: The cooperation betweenojek and health workersin thereferral
serviceis a formof mobilization and management to the local resources
that health workers done and is a form of community participationin
thereferral transport system. The cooperation existence of great help
communities and health workers in reaching health care facilities. |
