Eruption of bursts of hot clouds has brought extraordinary result many
times, particularly result in fatalities, injuries, destroyed buildings and badly
damaged houses. In such conditions the efforts to address the disaster
victims considered to be very important. The existence of the cooperation
in dealing with victims fast and accurately will determine the quality of
health services on disasters. In the early days of the disaster are
conditions where the burden really tough while the affordable ability is
limited. This is where the DERU UGM needed as an education-based
volunteer organization in health services during the disaster.
Research Objectives: To determine and analyze the coordination
process, organization design, organizational communication and
distribution of funds in health services on disaster.
Research Methods: A qualitative research conducted using the method
of personal interviews with informants of DERU UGM Team. Triangulation
of data and sources used to ensure the validity of the data.
Research Result: Health services team of DERU UGM conducted with
the coordination, organization, organizational communication, and
distribution of funds through informal and formal meetings and also daily
reports that involves all stakeholders whether between units or with other
related parties. In addition to direct meetings, SMS gateways and radio
calls also conducted. The existence of the coordination, organization,
organizational communication, and distribution of funds with a clear
structure result an optimal health services of DERU. The obstacles are the
lack of human resources and no Standard Operational Procedure (SOP)
of health services on disasters.
Conclusions: The health services conducted by the DERU UGM team at
the disaster period are quite good because of the cooperation between
units internally and externally in handling the disaster. |
