environment and the limited facilities and infrastructure led to the settlement of
Bajau tribe society is not suitable for habitation. The Government has planned a
relocation of settlement program, but the plan was not realized because of the
Bajau tribe society refused to be moved ashore. Relocation efforts can be realized
when an earthquake that caused the settlement of Bajau tribe at the sea can not be
occupied again, and through with its self supporting, build their settlements on the
mainland.
This study aims to quantify the process achievement level of settlement
relocation of Bajau Tribe society in Kalumbatan village and identify factors that
influence it. Research sites in the village of Kalumbatan, District of South
Totikum, Banggai Islands. Data obtained through a questionnaire distributed to 61
respondents and it equipped with in-depth interviews. The sampling technique is
held by the systematic random sampling. Data research then processed and
analyzed by the method of cross tabulation (crosstab) and bivariate correlation to
see the relationship between the dependent variable and independent variable.
Research results showed that three indicators of the process achievement
level of settlements relocation of Bajau tribe society in Kalumbatan village,
namely: (1) house condition, (2) income level and (3) endure level, which is
generally have a tendency to \"quite successful�. The factors that influence the
process achievement level of settlement relocation of Bajau Tribe society in
Kalumbatan village is the internal factor, namely: (a) education, (b) type of Work,
(c) accessibility, (d) ownership of landand (e) kinship |
