| Summary: | The development of social housing in South Sorong regency is one of the
manifestations of the affirmation of local government to local society to give them
reasonably habitable housing. It is the manifestation of constitutional mandate,
where the local government provides people with reasonably inhabited houses and
affordable for everyone. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to describe the
implementation of social housing policy in South Sorong regency and to evaluate
the development of social housing in the regency.
This study was conducted using rationalistic qualitative deductive method.
The data required were two types: primary data and secondary data. The collected
data were analyzed by a qualitative descriptive technique.
Result of the study indicates that the construction of social housing in
Sorong regency is done with several patterns, i.e.: first, in a social housing
complex on the edge of the highway that previously is the newly cleared forest
