| Summary: | In a two-study sequence, this research was aim to know willingness to pay (WTP)
and willingness to accept (WTA) of house differences predicted by superstition
type and superstitious belief level. This research use quantitative approach with
treatment by subject design to elicit WTP and WTA, and scale to measure
superstitious belief level. Data were analized by multivariat analysis of variance.
Study 1 employed of 113 Javanese aged over 28 years old to investigate WTP
and WTA differences predicted by superstition type. Study 2 employed of 72
Javanese aged over 28 years old to investigate WTP and WTA differences
predicted by superstition type and superstitious belief level. The result show there
is no difference WTP and WTA between house with positive superstition attribute
and house without superstition attribute (neutral). There is differences WTP and
WTA between house with positive superstition attribute and house with negative
superstition attribute. There is WTP and WTA differences between house without
superstition attribute (neutral) and house with negative superstition attribute. And
also, there are no WTP and WTA differences predicted by superstitious belief
level. Others findings will also being discussed in this research. |
