Summary: | This research was conducted to determine the meaning of Rejowinangun
Traditional Market on the perspective of family economic resilience, referring to
the context �role of existence� and its implication due to relocation of merchant�s
business arena, post-fire incident. This study is a field experiment and its
characteristic is descriptive. Population in this research were merchants at the
Rejowinangun Market environment. Sampling technique used purposive sampling
method because the population was limited by the context of specific events,
whereas sample taken as many as 30 respondents. Data were collected through
observation, interview, and literature study. Data had been processed and analyzed
by qualitative-inductive and quantitative-descriptive. Family economic resilience
was measured by respondent�s welfare value using poverty concept, both of
World Bank�s income based poverty line and Central Bureau Statistics�
consumption based poverty line.
Based on the research, Rejowinangun Market existence has many roles to
the family economy of merchant, such as: (i) providing accessibility to the
productive arena that carries equity spirit
