Summary: | Bondowoso as one of the regencies in East Java first rank among other
districts that have a preliterate society. This problem was recognized by the
district Bondowoso to maximize implementation of program to eradicate
illiteracy, particularly areas or sub-districts which have a number of illiterate
people is quite high, such as sub Binakal that became the focus of study in this
research.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning in the literacy
program (PBA) is implemented by the government Bondowoso, with a total
sample of 120 people were taken using simple random sampling techniques, the
following factors that influence the effectiveness of learning. The research data
were analyzed with regression. Course of this research is theoretically expected to
contribute positively on the effectiveness of the eradication of illiteracy. The basic
method used in this research is descriptive analysis with quantitative approach.
The results of this study found that implementation of the literacy program
of the government Bondowoso be effective, as evidenced by the results of learning
that has been accomplished by people who have studied the levels reached the
highest level of independence. The results of the regression test showed that the
age factor, motivation and gender significant effect (significant) and the role of
tutor and environmental factors studied did not significantly affect the
effectiveness of learning in the program to eradicate illiteracy in District
Bondowoso.
