Mount Lawu. Agricultural production in this area is increasing year by year.
However, water resources become a problem when the water demand increases
and can not cover the needs of the community. This research aims to find out
water utilization for cultivation and reviewing policies and factors that influence
it.
The research was conducted by a qualitative approach. Data were gathered
through in-depth interviews, field observations, secondary data and literature
study. Data were analysed through qualitative descriptive, white discussion is
done inductively.
This research found that the lack of water for irrigation is attributed to the
increasing population of users of water sources also caused damage to forests in
the upper Ketonggo DPS. Limitations of water flowing in rivers and irrigation
water used to cause a change in the behavior of farmers in irrigation water use and
manage the irrigation of gravity, theft and destruction of irrigation facilities, the
cessation of production of fisheries, land use and proliferation of the water pump
on farmland paddy. Despite, the fact fuat water irrigation have increased
production of food crops, the production of fish and livestock population in the
DPS Ketonggo improvement of pump irrigation system were also resulted a
decrease of ground water. |
