The emergence of the relaxation response is expected to improve the symptoms of
stress or depression symptoms and improve female sexual function index scores.
This study aims to determine whether LPD can improve female sexual
function as measured by the FSFI score in female patients with chronic renal failure
and depressive symptoms who underwent hemodialysis in RSUP Dr. Sardjito,
Yogyakarta. The research design is quasi experimental, namely by measuring the
FSFI scores in subjects with LPD treatment for 21 days, compared with control. The
study was conducted in the hemodialysis unit RSUP Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta. Time
study is the month of October 2011 until the number of samples met.
The baseline characteristics are presented in the form of averages and
percentage, while differences between the two groups in the value of P, where there is
a difference when P <= 0.05. FSFI value changes between the treatment and control
groups compared by each FSFI domain scores and FSFI total score as well. The
correlation between BDI scores with total FSFI score was measured by Pearson
correlation sig. (2-tailed).
