knowledge transfer using measurement of variables used by Lin (2007).
Knowledge Transfer consists of two activity that is knowledge collecting and
knowledge donating. Measuring of network strength using measurement of
variables used by Lee et al., (2008), and economics sustainability is measured by
measurement used by Smyth and Dumanski (1993).
The data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire with
purposive sampling to 119 head of farmers cooperative in Boyolali regency. Of
the 119 questionnaires distributed, 117 completed and usable questionnaires were
returned, representing a response rate of 98 percent. This study applies the
hierarchical regression to investigate the research model.
The results showed that the transfer of knowledge has a significant effect
on economics sustainability. Knowledge collecting in the context of the
agricultural sector in Boyolali regency has no direct relationship with economics
sustainability. In the context of the agricultural sector in Boyolali regency, they
do not do a collect of knowledge, but still has sustainable of economics. This is
not apart from the role of government that routinely and continuously create and
deliver new knowledge without them asking. While knowledge donating affect the
economics sustainability. The power of effect determined by the network strength.
Future research should be conducted on a large sample and carried out
longitudinally by measuring the economics sustainability of the various aspects
inherent in economics sustainability. Research can be conducted in a wider area
coverage so that results can be used for generalization. It also required the
addition of independent variables by adjusting the research context in order to
explain better economics sustainability.
From a practical perspective, the relationship between knowledge
transfer, network strength, and economics sustainability can provide guidance on
how interested parties can develop a knowledge-based culture to achieve and
enhance their economics sustainability. |
