Summary:Based on data from Energy and Mineral Resources Division of Public Works Department Purbalingga, from 5499 Head of Households in the Karangjambu District, there are 1748 Headed Households in Karangjambu who have not get electricity services. In other words, the electrification ratio in this district is 70.03%. Most of people who haven't get electricity services residing in rural areas. This rural villages are located in the Northern District of Karangjambu with a height of more than 1000 meters above sea level.Consider to a number of river and the inclination in the district, it approximating has big enough microhydro potency as alternative troubleshooting of electrics requirement. Study of hydropower potency for microhydro power plant conducted to ascertain the estimate. Secondary data in the form of river water flow, rainfall, topography and administration map, and primary data in the form of river dimension and river water flow, head and also rever condition in dry season needed to determine microhydro potency level. The minimum water flow and the 80 % pledge water flow will be found by calculation to finding the microhydro power in kilowatt. According to the research, micohydro potency on the 3 district without electricity equal to 116,9915 kW (in Qminimum) and 170,501 kW (in Q80%). The number of resident witch can be served aqual to 222 household if each household obtaining 200 watt in energy. And the number of resident witch can be served equal to 187 household if each household obtaining 450 watt in energy. Contribution to increase of electrication ratio in the regency level equal to 4,04 % at 200 watt for each household, and increase 3,4 % at 450 watt for each household.
