| Summary: | PT Cendana Teknika Utama, which currently runs their business in the
fields of telecommunication and information technology, is willing to expand
their business into the field of pharmaceutical products distribution (pharmacy)
considering that this business sector is still prospective to be developed. The
planned business concept is named Jaringan Multi Mini Apotek consisting of 1
central pharmacy as the center to prepare prescribed drugs and some smaller
pharmacies acting as selling outlet scattered in several places. To achieve
efficiency in this business, all transaction activities within this pharmacy network
will be combined into one IT enterprise application whose process run in realtime.
This business planning is initiated with analysis of pharmaceutical
industries in Indonesia, market analysis in Malang and comparative analysis
against competitors, whose results are used to generate values to be offered to
customers and strategy to be implemented. Furthermore, a set of value creator
activities is designed including operational planning, marketing planning,
organizational planning and financial projection.
To run this business, the amount of investment needed is 1 billion rupiah,
which is used to build a pharmacy network that consists of 10 outlets. This
investment is deemed profitable as after conducting feasibility calculation by
using discount factor of 15% and investment period of 5 years, the resulting NPV
reaches Rp 2,359,785,786.00, IRR amounting to 81,23%, PI amounting to 3,71
and POT (discounted) for the period of 1.76 years.
