description | Playing game is one of mediums to relax and refresh the mind after a day of activities. Generally, this type of game is divided into online and offline game, both distinguished by the use of the internet to play. Nowadays, online game players are grow rapidly. The growth of online game players are very rapid due to the attraction of online games that are played and the motivation of online game players. Players� motivation in playing online game are influenced by various factors, some of these factors are achievement, social, and immersion. This study aims to examine the influence of independent variables (achievement, social, and immersion) toward gamers motivation in playing online game. Questionnaires with 47 questions distributed to the gamers in Yogyakarta, and 146 respondents that are appropriated with this study criteria were obtained. Data from the questionnaires were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to predicts the relationship between these variables. The results of multiple linear regression analysis in this study indicate that achievement, social, and immersion factor has positive and significant effect on gamers motivation in playing online game. |
