description | Defence Cooperation Agreement (Defense Cooperations Agreement) between
Indonesia and Singapore between Indonesia and Singapore was signed by Indonesia
and Singapore on April 27, 2007 in Bali Tampaksiring Palace. Defence Cooperation
Agreement (Defense Cooperations Agreement) is further amended several problems,
including lack sepahaman both parties, especially the preparation of the
Implementing Rules relating to Area Implementation Pengatauran Bravo (Alpha 2),
as well as the broader desire of the Indonesian government about the Extradition
Treaty ( Extradition Treaty) and the Counter Terrorism Cooperations Agreement
coupled with the refusal of the Indonesian Parliament not to ratify the agreement as
detrimental to the Government of Indonesia...
To understand these issues, the authors use a qualitative research method that
is based on library research, descriptive analysis through interviews in data
collection. One hallmark of qualitative methods is its emphasis on the natural
environment which means that data obtained directly from first-hand and the context
and situation are understood and described the research subject widely and
clearly..
The results showed that the Defence Cooperation Agreement between
Indonesia and Singapore much harm the interests of the Government of Indonesia
and subsequently proposed to be revised by adding new provisions in the Regulations
implementing and separate the Defence Cooperation Agreement (Defense
Cooperations Agreement) with the Extradition Treaty and force Singapore to discuss
about the border dispute |
