Summary: | Technical power loss taking place in 20 kV primary distribution network
is caused by voltage drop resulting from network parameter loading. The feeder of
Ambon City consisting of 6 feeders represents a radial system and has the peak
load of close to the power of a power plant. GI Sirimau plan is intended to
increase the power supply of the feeder of the city. The addition of new power
plant can suppress the voltage drop and the electric power loss, though it is
necessary to analyze the load flow simulation to find out the change.
The study is conducted to evaluate the voltage profile and the electric
power loss of the existing feeder condition after the integration of the GI Sirimau
feeder according to scenario 1, scenario 2 and scenario 2 with reconfiguration.
The method used is load flow analysis using the calculation stimulation of ETAP
7. The result of the calculation is used to find out the voltage quality and electric
power loss.
The results of the analysis and the calculation of the ETAP 7 show that in
the existing condition the lowest voltage level is 18,295 kV with the voltage drop
of 1,229 kV of Ahuru feeder network end (GRD SR02) with the total percentage
of the power loss of 2,95%. If the GI connection of scenario 1 is made, the voltage
profiles improves that the total voltage of the power loss decreases to 2,72%.
Once the GI feeder connection of scenario 2 has been made, the voltage profile
improves and the percentage of the power loss is 2,56%. After the GI feeder
connection of scenario 2 and the reconfiguration the voltage profile improves and
the total percentage of the power loss improves to be 2,38%. The voltage drop in
2013 is predicted to be very high, which will be 0,945 kV in Ahuru feeder, while
the total power loss of the feeder increases to 646,1 kW.
