description | This study aims to examine empirically the influence of motivational
factors and technology acceptance behavior towards the attitude of knowledge
sharing through social networking sites. This study develops previous research by
combining the motivation of the research constructs Bock et al., (2005) and
constructs from technology acceptance research Hsu and Lin (2008) as
antecedents of the attitude of knowledge sharing behavior by using the theory of
planned behavior (TPB) as a theoretical framework research model. Respondents
research involving 187 active users of social networking sites (SJS) Facebook and
Twitter. Testing techniques using partial least squares (PLS) with the help of
application SmartPLS version 2.0.
Empirical test results indicate that factors that include the technology
acceptance perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment
significant effect on the attitude of knowledge sharing behavior through social
network site. While for the motivating factor, just the sense of self worth that
affect the attitude of knowledge sharing behavior. For extrinsic motivation and
reciprocal relations does not affect the attitude of sharing knowledge through
social network site.
The results of this study may provide an important contribution to the
organization for the Implementation of knowledge management success by
utilizing information technology as an effective media in fostering the success of
knowledge sharing activities within the organization. The development and
popularity of social network site can be used to create an effective knowledgesharing
activities. |
