Summary: | The goal of this research is to understand and to analyze the appropriateness
theoretical model several exogenous variables (concentration, self confidence,
emotional regulation, persistence, and goal setting ability) on the endogen variable
(individual performance on 100 meters sprint).
The research subjects are 51 athletes on the 100 m individual sprint. They had
joined the student national competition by the year 2011. The BARS (Behaviorally
Anchored Rating Scale) and secondary data are the instruments of data collection. The
PLS (Partial least square) was utilized for statistic analyzing.
This research revealed that the theoretical model is fit. Another word, crucial
variables (concentration role, self confidence, emotional regulation, persistence, and
goal setting ability) influence simultaneously toward the individual performance on 100
meters sprint. Those exogenous variables influenced 89.3% of the athletes
performance. Based on this research, it is strongly recommended that the 100 meters
sprint athletes must join the psychological coaching in order to develop their goal
setting properly.
