| Summary: | Creative thinking is considered to be a core skill for the 21st century, specifically, the skills underlying creative problem-solving. Many studies in creative problem-solving rely on the problem-solvers using novel means to generate the correct answers. The current exploratory study draws on a secondary data to demonstrate that the wrong answers to problems can be just as creative as the correct answer although they are accompanied by lower feelings of insight. Categorising different types of wrong answers could be useful to provide a more granular assessment of the different cognitive processes underlying creative thinking. |
