Summary: | Vesicular eruptions on the palms and soles, often described as pompholyx, may be a manifestation of eczema, dermatophyte infection, scabies, bullous lichen planus, erythema multiforme and vasculitis. We have previously reported the development of haemorrhagic pompholyx in pemphigoid. We have now determined the incidence of vesicles and blisters on the palmar and plantar surfaces in patients with the following autoimmune blistering disorders: pemphigoid, linear IgA disease, chronic bullous disease of childhood and herpes gestationis. |
