A number of observers have acknowledged the primacy of Eastern European cybercrime, along with some thoughts on the factors of what led cybercrime to emerge there. This chapter takes matters one step further by trying to formalise the model of cybercriminal development found in the former Soviet states and to determine if it can be used to predict emerging profit-driven cybercrime hubs in other parts of the world. It takes a case study of Vietnam for this purpose. |
