Description
Summary:Clinical experience often reveals the difficulty of separating the different language domains a child has to master during acquisition. The relationship between lexical and pragmatic skills seems to be a particularly close one. This relationship will be inspected from the perspective of childrens' language actions. Thus, observation criteria for the assessment of pragmatic abilities will be introduced. It will also be demonstrated to which extend these criteria can be used as a support for lexical acquisition. Finally, a short discussion about possible effects on therapeutic actions and on evaluation will follow.
