Summary:We investigate intersubband relaxation rates above the optical phonon energy in a InAs/GaSb superlattice using saturation spectroscopy. A high-intensity free-electron laser tuned to the intersubband transition energy is used to saturate the absorption process revealing picosecond relaxation rates.
