Traditional journal publishing locks research articles behind a paywall, only allowing access to those who pay a subscription. Our team processes hundreds of Open Access journal articles, making them free to access for anyone with an Internet connection. Through diligent administration of publisher agreements (‘Read & Publish’ deals), efficient processing of individual article charges, and tailored guidance to researchers, the team helps Oxford researchers make their articles Open Access. Not only does this work enable them to be compliant with their funders and the Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment, but it helps showcase the fantastic research done by Oxford authors. Open Access results in more readers, citations, collaborations and recognition, and we are helping Oxford’s researchers share their knowledge with the world! |
