總結:The problem of subsynchronous resonance (SSR) instability in power systems containing long capacitively compensated transmission lines has recently attracted much attention. The laboratory system was designed to model as closely as possible the new nuclear powered turbo-generators to be installed at Koeberg power station in South Africa. The theory describing the system dynamics is presented briefly. The designs of the distributed mass system and of a novel type of shaft twist transducer are discussed. The paper concludes with some predicted and test results which prove the feasibility of the system.
