Generalized Filinov transformation of the semiclassical initial value representation

A method for solving the 'sign' problem for integrals involved in the semiclassical initial value representation is presented. The method is based on generalized Filinov transformation which incorporates complex initial conditions into the phase space average. The optimal choice of the ...

description A method for solving the 'sign' problem for integrals involved in the semiclassical initial value representation is presented. The method is based on generalized Filinov transformation which incorporates complex initial conditions into the phase space average. The optimal choice of the 'smoothing parameters' was made by the description of a systematic procedure thereby removing the arbitrariners in overall approach. Tests on chaotic systems indicated the accuracy and efficiency of the method.
